A diagnosis of pancreas cancer means you have less than a 15% chance of seeing the next year. Pancreas cancer is the only common cancer with a single digit year survival rate. However, for every patient, there is a passionate group of family members, Physicians, and Researchers who want to change these numbers. The Florida Pancreas Cancer Coalition, Inc. is a group of these people who have united to raise money to support pancreas cancer research being conducted here in Florida.
There are no salaries or offices to support in the FLPCC; all who serve are local volunteers. We are pleased to let you meet them.
FLPCC was established by The Honorable Patrick F. McLaughlin. Since the origination of FLPCC in October, 2013, Pat's leadership, dedication, and passion have helped raise over $100,000 for local research.
Sadly, Pat passed on August 28, 2015, after a 3 1/2 year fight with this terrible disease. He is sorely missed but so fondly remembered.
